Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986) is regarded internationally as one of the greatest educators and philosophers of our time. He wrote over forty books, many of which have been translated into the world's major languages. In a speech he gave in 1929 he said, "I have only one purpose: to make man free, to urge him toward freedom, to help him break away from all limitations, for that alone will give him eternal happiness, will give him the unconditioned realization of the self." After this speech until the day he died, Krishnamurti traveled throughout the world giving public talks to large audiences, speaking to the problems of existence with the heartfelt objective of setting man "Absolutely and Unconditionally Free."
